Khaled Iwamura has been the host of the Japan Festival Canada since year one and 2020 is no different.

Khaled Iwamura is the founder of insauga.com and Quickbite News, a media company comprising insauga.com, inthehammer.com, inbrampton.com and inhalton.com which is now one of the largest digital only media companies in Canada.
He is also a TEDx Speaker, Tokyo Tourism Spokesperson, TV host/producer, MC and part-time pro wrestler.

Currently Khaled has been shooting Instagram live interviews throughout the pandemic for insauga.com. He has had some major guests such as The Premier of Ontario Doug Ford and weekly chats with the mayors of Mississauga, Brampton, Burlington and Hamilton and celebrities like Maitreyi Ramakrishnan – Netflix’s Never Have I Ever. These interviews have garnered over 2 million views since March of 2020.

He has also produced a video series in Tokyo Japan that has got over a 1 million views over the past 2 seasons.
He is also doing a video podcast that can be viewed on Facebook that has got 100,000 listeners in 10 episodes.
Khaled has emceed major city events at Celebration Square including New Years Eve x3 (50,000 people), Sound Bites Music Festival (35,000 people), Sauga Block Party (10,000 people) and Japan Festival Canada x3 (90,000 people).
Khaled Iwamura is half Japanese, half Egyptian, born in Montreal and has been a proud resident of Mississauga for 30 years.

Izumi Ishikawa

Izumi Ishikawa was born in Taiwan and raised in Japan. She has lived in Vancouver B.C and Toronto, ON and living in Canada for 9 years now in total. She has three years of working experience in the food and beverage industry as a bartender/ mixologist. She has also worked in the entertainment industry as a dancer (performer) and dance instructor. Recently, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she has pursued her hobby by selling handmade knitted animals through e-commerce.
