In accordance with public health guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic, Japan Festival CANADA 2021 was held again as a virtual event, like the 2020 festival before it..

Thousands of virtual attendees came together online to watch a livestreamed program which featured many staples of the in-person festival, suh as musical and dance performances, cultural and educational sessions, interviews with sponsors, travel destination showcases, and much more.

The virtual festival once again held a Japan travel prize giveaway.
